Lama Pai Kung-Fu (喇嘛派) the traditional Chinese martial art as taught by the late Master Chan Tai-San and passed to his adopted disciple, Sifu David A Ross. Lama Pai is the product of the Tibetan region, China’s western frontier, and has several influences, but is best known for its powerful long arm striking. All the techniques, including the empty hand sets and the Qi Gong is taught in this program.
Classes are taught in the traditional manner, teaching the “Sahn Faat” or “body method”, the wheeling body and the application of “Yu Lihk” or “waist power”. In addition to teaching excellent self-defense, learning these methods also increases body awareness and has a surprising Yogic like effect in stretching and strengthening.
Introductory classes are currently Saturdays at 3 pm.
More introductory classes are announced as the year progresses.
These classes are traditional but they are linked to our San Da program as well. We encourage students to take classes in both programs. This is how Sifu David Ross intended the institute to function.
