Fitness Kickboxing is designed to take the best benefits of martial arts, boxing, Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) training and offer them in a safe, non-competitive and entertaining format appropriate for all. We have men and women of all ages and all levels of physical condition in our classes. We pride ourselves on helping normal, everyday people achieve their fitness goals.
At New York San Da, our Fitness Kickboxing program stresses proper technique and body awareness. You won’t be involved in “contact” (no one will be hitting you!) but you WILL be training the same way our professional fighters train and you will be learning real technique. You will learn the technique on various pieces of equipment like the heavy bag and the kicking shield. You will also do non-contact partner drills such as glove drills. While we do not stress self-defense in this program, it is certainly an aspect of the training.
